The word that will make anyone OK with whatever the government does to anybody. “Terrorist” no longer applies to just “brown people”. It’s now everyone–your friends, your family–who may not like everything the government does. It’s considered suspicious by law enforcement to take photos in public in Los Angeles. I’m not even kidding. The State wants you to live in fear, because they know, in that fear, you will cling to them more tightly. They want you to “never forgive” and “never forget” the events of September 11th, 2001, which really only happened because of the government. But, because of these events, people call for more government, more violence, more State control. The State wants you to “never forgive” and “never forget” so you give your approval to the never-ending wars; so you join the military to go fight “the terrorists”; so you become suspicious of your neighbors, your fellow human beings. The “War on Terror” is such a ridiculous idea. Only the State thinks it can fight a war against a concept, but this is the idea. The constant wars are desirable and profitable for the so-called “military-industrial complex” and made possible because there’s no way to win a war against “terror”.
The State is furthering their fear-mongering lately with the very visible presence of militarized police in recent weeks and propaganda about “anarchist extremists” and “violent protesters”. “Militarized police”. Does this make anyone else think of Imperial Stormtroopers from Star Wars, the militarized Russian police, or maybe even Nazi police in their puffy pants, big hats, and shiny jack boots? All designed to incite fear, because fear keeps people in line and obedient.
OK, so what do we do about all this? Not protest; not violent revolution. Look at where that got the United States. It wasn’t long before even the founding fathers themselves started abusing power. Overthrowing the State will get you right back to where you are. People will continue to think that we need rulers, that we need the State, and replace the State with the State. When one removes cancer, one does not replace it with more cancer. That is lunacy. Educate your friends and your family about the non-aggression principle (NAP). Encourage them to educate others as well. The only way for any change to happen is for people to educate themselves about living free and peacefully and silently casting off State chains as a whole. Make sure to read the other articles on this site to learn more about true freedom. I understand it’s easy to brush it off as naivety or lunacy, but that’s the State propaganda you’ve learned through school, television, movies, and even other people. It’s powerful and very hard to counter, but, once you do, it’s much easier to see the lunacy of the State.
